He was just in way over his head the last four years--from the beginning. I think they thought that a CEO President would do it and Cheney could run things from behind the scenes. But when the international situation changed so drastically, what was really needed was a stand-up, involved leader. For all his posturing (or because of it), Bush was just not that leader. I don't think the sympathy vote will do it for him though. There's just an acknowledgement out there that he has not been good for the country. The best words for it are "Bush Fatigue." Everyone is just so tired of fighting about the guy that they are ready to set him aside. I agree with Kos. I like our chances. One things for sure.
