I have always wondered why the anti-gun folk talk about deer hunting when refering to the second amendment.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

More importantly, I have never heard a gun ownership proponent challenge people when they say stuff like, 'That weapon wasn't designed for hunting deer.'

No duh... We have the right to bear arms for self-defense and defense of the state.
