chuck, Are you sure that isn't a trick question? There are quite a few in that class, but deciding on the best, is not an easy task. Whether one believes that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ, or not, his teachings have been reported as being aimed at the benefit of humanity, but there are others that have made huge contributions. Gandhi comes to mind, for one. It would be easier to select the one that did the most damage to humanity. They seem to have gotten more attention, than the ones that benefited.
