The public eyes simply glaze over when the economists speak about numbers. All they want is better pay, socialized medicine and let someone else worry about how to pay for them. Make the rich pay is a common class warfare rhetoric than has lots of political mileage. But here's some simple numbers to chew over : the euro-healthcare, higher-minimum-wage, tax the rich (ie: the companies) programs have been implemented in --- guess where --- Europe.

Unemployment numbers :
US : 5.4% (sep2004)
France : 9.5%
Germany : 9.8% (7.6% W, 17.7% E)
Canada : 7.1% (Canadians were ecstatic that the numbers were at a historic low)
Spain : 11.1% (In 2000 8.86% - 21yr Record low noted as a miraculous recovery)

Next time JK sells you the same failed socialist policies that caused these high level of structural unemployment in these utopian states, I would suggest you take a long hard look at the data and judge for yourself.
