In which case the problem goes well beyond what raising the minimum wage can solve. After all, do you think raising the minimum wage would have helped during the Great Depression?

Once again, corporations can much, much more effectively take advantage of the free market than people can.

That doesn't even compare with the power of government. For instance, how many corporations can cover over huge increases in spending with limitless borrowing and/or raising taxes?

I'll say it again: The free market is king, and nothing ever occurs in a vacuum. That's not to say that we should be working towards a 100% laissez-faire economy, but it does remind us that there are realities we cannot get around unless we address issues more fundamental than just the minimum wage.
