>Highly offensive. It was absolutely an invasion of the privacy of Cheney's daughter. The fact that she has chosen not to hide her sexuality gives Kerry NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER to have used her sexuality as a political tool.

Dude, the Republicans are using sexuality as a political tool... that's what the anti-gay-marriage amendment is.

Bush had just said that he didn't know whether being gay was a choice or not. Kerry countered by talking about someone who is close to Bush and helping out with the campaign, someone who Bush obviously knows well, and questioning whether or not Bush thought she'd made a choice. It's a perfectly fair question.

It's only nasty if (1) she was trying to keep it a secret, or (2) you believe that there is something wrong with being gay.

But, she wasn't, and there is ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING GAY.
