No Class "Liz"

Mrs. Liz Edwards: "I think that [Mrs. Cheney's complaint] indicates a certain degree of shame with respect to her daughter's sexual preferences."

Mrs. Edwards doesn't seem to appreciate the difference between shame and privacy. She is a lawyer and should know these things. I close my blinds at night, not because I am ashamed of what goes on in my house but because what goes on in my house is private. I wonder if Mrs. Edwards does the same.

Shame does play a part in this, though. Edwards and Kerry and Mrs. Edwards should all be ashamed of trying to wring some votes out of a private matter. That is what they are trying to do. If people are fair-minded, the effort should backfire.
