Bush altered the political climate with his overreaction to the attack of the Twin Towers. He has created a climate of fear and paranoia. That's the environment Kerry has to confront.

The terrorist threat in this country is no more than a nuisance. Kerry can't say that, though. The best he can say is that he pines for a future where the threat is a nuisance. Even on that, Bush attacks him for being soft on terrorism.

Bush blows.
