Of course they hate "Amerrica" ... good reason? ... NO! .......... Do you think the US is totally virtuous? I don't. Regardless, I don't think our flaws sanction the jihadists' insanity. But we give their insanity too much attention. Bush altered the political climate with his overreaction to the attack of the Twin Towers. He has created a climate of fear and paranoia. That's the environment Kerry has to confront. The terrorist threat in this country is no more than a nuisance. Kerry can't say that, though. The best he can say is that he pines for a future where the threat is a nuisance. Even on that, Bush attacks him for being soft on terrorism. Bush blows. /john
