Glad we are still friends. That's healthy in an atmosphere of divisiveness that permeates our society today as well as the posters here. I will accept with RESERVATION your accusation of being a Bush hater although that is a strong word. I would rather it be accepted that I just think that the man in charge of our Country has made all the wrong moves and that I thoroughly disagree with almost every thing that he has done.. and not done. The word Bush hater has been bantered about as has Liberal. I do not wish anyone ill and to hate is to wish someone ill.. and that goes past political things. So, let's just say that I will not vote for the man and would in fact try to influence anyone I know to not vote for him. By the way, I do not see Kerry as much different. I cannot say that I am a Kerry lover anymore than your saying Bush.........

It's just I would hope some things would change. IN a personal sense the atmosphere in our society right now I find repugnant. The tearing down of signs, the dribble that is being drummed up about each candidate. No matter what I try to be fair..

You always defend your position well. I don't always agree with History and the weak vs. the strong. It was a barbaric time in many ways. I would hope civilization has risen above those things.

Did you ever hear the rumors.. they may have been just that....but that when Saddam spoke with our Secretary of State he implied that he was going to invade Kuwait and received no objections. And so he went ahead. I happen to think that what one country does within it's own borders is not for us to intervene...except when it is genocide.. Why did we not do something when Saddam exterminated the Kurds.. I think it is why we let the black countries kill one another... and suffer AIDS... We just don't care unless it concerns our INTERESTS.

David got carried away a bit I agree. And things that are really denigrating I find slimy no matter who says them.
