Technology Stocks : Glenayre Technologies(GEMS)- a pure cellular PCS play?

Thank you for your input. Your are right, communications industry trades at average PS of 30.4. Do you know average earnings growth for this industry from 1997 to 1998 and where GEMS fits in?

I did 2 types of analysis on this stock. One was done by my corporate bean counter and the other using the Motley Fool method. The fool method gives the stock a fair value of $12.61 and the bean counter method gives the stock a fair value of $23.60. At $17.00/share there doesn't seem too much upside potential unless of course Skeeter is right and they show earnings surprise.

By the way, I first heard of this stock last December. It was mentioned in a wall street journal article that listed about 20 beaten down stocks. At that time, gems had fallen from about $50.00/share to $23.00/share. The article gave the primary reason for gems fall to the delay in the shipment of a major order. I wonder what ever happened to that order?
