Nightline traveled to Vietnam and found a number of witnesses who have never been heard from before, and who have no particular ax to grind for or against Kerry. Only one of them, in fact, even knew who Kerry is

Isn't it sweet of Nightline to tell us how reliable the witnesses are up front, instead of letting us rubes make up our own minds? Um, the Nightline producers didn't, by any vague chance, have a government minder with them when they went galavanting around Vietnam? Is there perhaps a party line to be upheld, as Nightline asked, "is it true you hardly fought the Americans at all that day?" and were told, "oh, no, we fought the Americans really really hard!"

It's like CNN reporting Saddam's elections and his 100% of the vote.
