You seem to document that the founding fathers were not devout Christians. It is not an issue that I had been concerned with.

It is clear that they prescribed to Judeo/Christian ethics. They are deeply embedded within our society from the start. If they had not been, the concept of separation of church and state may never have been mentioned.

Common Law is based upon the laws of Moses. Have you been in the Supreme Court? The laws of Moses are engraved in the main doors. Behind the Supremes is a mural with Christian images.

I believe George W. Bush grew up in the Episcopal Church. Methodist is similar, but a little less ceremony. The Methodist Church is not a fundamentalist sect. It would be obvious that Bush 43 is not a fundamentalist. He appears to have undergone a rebirth into the church after finding sobriety. AA uses Christ as a tool to motivate people to enforce change in their life.
