Anyone with half a wit would realize that the only way an institution as mammoth as the Federal Government could have gone from deficits to surpluses, was by employing dubious accounting methods. Along with the statistics that supported the PR hype that we were in the middle of a "boom" because some people had made profits from the stock market bubble. The reality that there was no boom, that there was no surplus, is as lost as the truth about Bill Clinton's honesty.
