Here's the part I find interesting:

"What I've said a number of times is that a year from my starting-- roughly the summer of `98-- we will be a leader in Internet as well as intranet technology"

Now it's "roughly" and "A leader", not "THE leader" as it was before.

If the COO is as good a pick as Slitz, we should get another good bump in the near future. My guess is that it will be a pretty hard-nosed SOB to keep things focused.
