Another family values lesson from those wonderful repugs:

The Raw Story broke the story of Randy Kuhl's divorce papers last week. Kuhl is the Republican opponent of Samara Barend.
As Jerome notes, the story has finally been picked up by a handful of news organizations. AP has run the story. The NY Post has applied the label that will haunt Kuhl for the rest of his career: "Shotgun Senator".

Kuhl continues to whine about dirty politics. Sorry, but a man that mentally abuses his wife, and pulls out two shotguns in public, threatening to kill her, has some serious issues. More so than former Illinois Senator Jack Ryan, whose transgression was to ask his wife to partake in some adventurous some sexual escapades. (I had no problem with Ryan's sexscapades -- it was Illinois Republicans who freaked out, they being Republicans and all.)

"Dirty politics" is what we call false allegations, voter supression, underhanded tactics, etc. Telling the truth about a legal filing, on a matter as important to public policy as spousal abuse is well within bounds.
