tejek, 5 guardsmen complained to their family that the mission was extremely dangerous, and you're ready to make a federal case out of it. At least one of the 5 is a woman. We might want to reconsider placing female members of the military in such personal danger; although, there is often one weak link in an otherwise strong chain. Obviously your attempt to make it a more serious problem, proves that it's the silly season of presidential politics.
Nineteen soldiers refused to go on the detail........count them......19, not 5. This is not the first time claims of bad equipment have been made. And its not the first time soldiers have refused to go on a mission. Things are getting worse over there.........incompetent leaders and poor equipment are putting our soldiers at risk.
So answer my question, Corrigan, where the Hades is the nearly $300 billion going? Into whose pockets?
Suggesting that liberals could better handle the national purse-strings is akin to putting the fox in charge of the hen house.
No, it is not..........the deficit as a percent of GDP has gone done under every Dem. president since WW II and up under every GOP president. However, Mr. Bush takes the prize for the most spendthrift president in recent history.
Get your facts straight, Corrigan!
The only reason the federal debt was lowered in the 90s is because the Republican congress worked with Pres Clinton to get it done. That was the last act of bi-partisanship in WashDC.
Its not true but if it were true, what's Bush's excuse.......he is a GOP president with a GOP Congress in place?
The facts don't support your position, Corrigan!
Since those level-headed days, Democrats in DC have become attack dogs continuously snapping at Pres Bush's heels and using every opportunity to try to discredit the WH, thereby in their eyes setting the scene for their presidential nominee. Current crop of congressional Liberals could not care less that they damage the very fabric of the democracy with their extreme political tactics. Terry McAuliffe & John Kerry have the same rabid strategy mindset, which makes for an ugly presidential campaign. It will be so satisfying to watch those 2 mastiffs whimper off into the sunset.
There is no question..........GW Bush......Unfit to Command!
