Wonder if moslums consider kerry their foot in the door of American politics. Lets hope America does not go the same way as Europe.

Muslim group launches 'action plan' for Nov. 2
Databased enables pursuit of 'political objectives in a strategic manner'
October 16, 2004

A U.S. Islamic group announced yesterday in Washington the launch of a nationwide Muslim voter registration database and an "action plan" for the Nov. 2 election.

The Muslim American Society's Freedom Foundation says its database will list more than 700,000 Muslim voters, including more than 100,000 in each of the three battleground states of Florida, Michigan and Ohio.

The information, the group says, will enable the American Muslim community "to pursue political objectives in a strategic manner."

The data includes the first state-by-state listing of eligible Muslim voters and "other demographic information critical to community voter empowerment."

"This election is cast as one of the most important ballot votes in American history and Muslims are in a position to play a pivotal role," the group said in a statement.

As WorldNetDaily reported last week, a worker for an off-shoot of the Muslim American Society, called Voting is Power, demanded a Palm Beach County, Florida, election official accept a box of 550 voter registration applications after the deadline.

The Muslim American Society's affiliated Muslim American Political Action Committee endorsed John Kerry for president.

The action plan includes:

"Mobilization in mosques through sermons, lectures and announcements. Imams and Muslim leaders are requested to encourage Muslims to actually vote on election day. Leadership is critical to mobilization.

"Volunteer recruitment to form a voting task force in every local community. Please involve youth groups. Whether you are a citizen or not, you can assist and volunteer in mobilizing your community.

"Setting up phone banks and arranging for volunteers to make calls a week before, and the day of, the election to encourage Muslims go to the polls.

Prearranging transportation to polling stations.

Monitoring polling stations in order to protect people's voting rights.

Distributing MAS Freedom's Voting Bill of Rights.
