That was outstanding. My house was going wild! Nicholas (son) had a football game this morning and it was windy and cold as hell. I coach with another guy and he came to the game dressed for 30 below weather as our kids are freezing. I looked ta him before the game and said get that damn coat off. You can't expect your players to freeze as we stay warm. Well....he didn't seem to care but I did! So I took my coat off and was in a short sleeve shirt in 35 degree weather with like 20 mph winds. In the spring the team we played today had kicked our butts and so I pulled the kids aside and said its payback time! The kids (5-8 year olds) got totally fired up, Nicholas got a safety and made a killer block that sprung a 40 yard TD run and we creamed 'em. We could have put 60 points on the board but I decided that would be mean so I called off the dogs at 46-6. I had to pace to stay warm....I must have looked like John Madden to the parents LOL!! But who cares! We kicked their ass and next week we're going to take home the league championship trophy.
