I don't think you can always tell a person's orientation. So I dispute this part.

This is interesting. But could it just be they all were gay but simply didn't know it? I won't discredit your story because it's a true experience you saw. I think the question is, were they gay beforehand but just didn't know it, or was it learned behavior in this particular situation?
