President Bush leads John Kerry by six points among likely voters, a Newsweek poll released Saturday shows.

In a three-way race that includes Ralph Nader, Bush garners 50 percent to Kerry's 44 percent, with Nader winning just one percent.

With Nader out of the race, the Bush lead shrinks, but not substantially, with Bush leading Kerry 50 to 45 percent among likely voters.
Among registered voters, Kerry does better, but still trails Bush, 48 to 47 percent. With Nader in the race, the Bush lead doubles to two percent, 48 to 46.

Princeton Survey Research Associates interviewed 1,004 registered voters for the Newsweek survey on October 14-15, 2004 - all after the third debate. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
