It is based mostly on the yellow, orange and red alerts that Bush and his henchmen issued regularly to warn and scare the American people that terrorists are about to attack sooner than later. Also, coloured folks from the Middle East are often harrassed. Many of them are to be found languishing in the slammer for no rhyme nor reason except on the suspicion that they look so much like potential terrorists. In this sense, America is now a more dangerous place to be in than before 9/11.

And Bush is responsible for all this negativism and fear!

The climate of fear engendered by Bush's alerts of impending attacks is part of the Bush campaign's ploy to get Bush re-elected.

But we now see that his ploy has backfired on him.

I am inclined to believe that if there is an attack (not necessarily of the scale of 9/11) between now and November 2nd, it might not be of Islamist origin, and its purpose would be to help Bush win.
