Re: To me, the evil is "bipartisanship" which compromises fundamental democratic principles and the interests of We the People in favor of pure political expediency. Here in Oregon, we have a creature from the black lagoon who is our erstwhile "Democratic" U.S. Senator. This fellow is forever touting his "bi-partisan" approach. Sadly for the people, his idea of bipartisanship is to continually cave in to the Republican leadership on the big issues, so that he can scrape the crumbs off the committee room floors to be shared with the folks back home.
