Sad to hear Bob join in on the partisan distortion of the Bush administration record today on his radio show.

Today, I heard Bob charactize Bush's energy program as "just wanting to drill for oil" in comparing it to what Kerry's program would be. It appears to this listener (mostly infrequently of late) that Bob has forgotten (to put it kindly!) Bush's COMPREHENSIVE ENERGY PROGRAM proposed early in his administration. As I remember, it was arrived at by consulting with the best and brightest in the energy industry.

- It not only provided for increased oil refining capacity and increased DOMESTIC oil exploration by opening up part of the promising ANWAR property in Alaska;

- but it also provided for significant investments in alternative energy such as solar and hydrogen fuel cells to proper the car of the future, and, and it provided for investments in coal and expansion of electricity generation capacity by adding to the utility grid.

That COMPREHENSIVE ENERGY POLICY was PASSED by the House of Representatives. But thanks to the Democrat partisan obstructionists in the U.S. Senate (ie. Daschle-Kennedy & Co), the proposal never reached the floor of the Senate for a vote. Heaven forbid Bush should get credit for passing such an energy program! Heaven forbid the partisan obstructionists in the Senate could rise above partisan politics and act in the interests of ALL citizens in the country on such an important issue. So here we are 30 years after Oil Embargos of the 1970's still without a comprehensive energy policy - the absense of which Bob whines and whales about periodically on his radio show.

Despite his claims to be "an independant", it looks like Bob is part of the mainstream media's partisan campaign to elect the challenger even if it takes putting out distortions to confuse the public. VERY SAD INDEED!

JMHO - Bob is best when he sticks to investment education and economics on his show. When he gets into political areas, the McGovernite within comes through, despite his efforts to cover it up.
