Condor: This past winter my son went to NZ and also opened an account at BNZ. He tried to open one in one city and they refused to open it because he wasn't a resident. Then he went to the Queenstown branch (where I opened my account) and they had no problem opening it. I have the email address for the branch manager of that branch at my office, so possibly he might be more willing to open an account for you. I can send you his name and email address if you like tomorrow. Mike
