<their own convictions> US has been demanding anything but a two-party, single-seat-district, winner-takes-all system for everyone, since WW1. Just like for Afghanistan, Iraq and even Mexico. However, that says little about how well the two-party system has served USA, especially the gerrymandering after 1960-70. (Bless the US two-party-system, because without gerrymandering once again, how would it have worked out??) Anyway, now it is a question of that 95%, since Newt and Reagan.
