That is true in the UK too- there is a GREAT comedy program on Bremer Bird and someone else- can't remember. But it's absolutely brilliant about politics. It has some very funny sketches on Kerry/Bush- I particularly liked the one where they gave Kerry stupid lessons, because he was "too smart", and he needed to be perceived as more stupid, like Bush :-)

The Brits don't think much of Bush- no one in the rest of the world thinks much of Bush- surely not a good thing for America. Luckily Americans aren't thinking as much of Bush as they were - so the selected president may soon be a dismal footnote in history.

Big news in the UK just now is the request by America to move some of the black watch (650- so the BBC says) from Basra to near Baghdad. NOT popular here- in fact the old retired Heeley (sp?) was on TV this morning and actually said on live TV that the whole war was absolute sh*t- (that got the anchor a bit flustered) and then said that the war was criminal, that the muslims worldwide now see Bush as the Great Satan, and that it was against Britain's interest to be seen to be alligned with the Americans. My gosh he was harsh- I mean, he was harsher than I am. He was one really really angry old dude. Of course they did wake him up rather early to be on Breakfast- maybe if he'd had his toast and tea he would have been a little more mellow- but I doubt it.

And of course there were big protests in London yesterday.
