Are you suggesting that he really didn't mean it? That it was a lie?

Are you suggesting that it is wrong to be less blunt than I am? That being "diplomatic" is a "lie?" I am shocked!

How about some plots involving a city with a corrupt Mayor run by a Union boss? Lots of variations there. One of the mindsets of TV writers is that all small towns are evil. Most of them come from urban environments.

The best script writing going on right now is HBO's "The Wire." Everybody in it is shades of gray. The second best is the "magical realism" of HBO's "Carnivale." New season starts in December.

I really enjoyed reading the squirming of left wing movie critics like Roger Ebert when they review "America's Team." He gave it "one star."

It is too juvenile for me, but the takedown of the "celebrity lefties" in it is priceless. It is the first movie out of Hollywood since 911 that is anti-terrorist and pro-America. I doubt if Alex Baldwin can recover from the blow to his ego in this comedy.
