John: What about all the people who have made fortunes on Intel and
Microsoft over the last few years. People who have lost their life
savings on one or two stocks are fools and should have invested in a
balanced portfolio of at least 10-12 stocks. This is what many of us do in the UK, and invest long term, and we do very nicely and certainly don't lose all our money. Even if some people had severe paper loses on INTC and MSFT, if they had held firm and didn't panic then long term they would have been fine.

IMHO INTC and MSFT are very firm holds long term.

Anyone betting that these stocks will be lower in 3-5 years time?

Cheers
