In the News & Observer, North Carolina's capital city newspaper in Raleigh, not far from Sapiens Durham offices, a lead article in the business section today featured the news that Mathew Szulik, former head of Sapiens U.S. operation is joining "software startup Relativity Technologies, Inc. as president and chief operating officer." His job at Sapiens is being "assumed by Monica Wooten, according to Robert Libutti, the company's chairman."

Apparently Szulik "has been wooed by everyone you can imagine," according to the chief honcho at Relativity. The paper stated that Szulik had notified Sapiens that he was leaving because his wife was seriously ill from a rare form of meningitis, but that she has since recovered her health.

Incidently, the paper reports that Sapiens is headquartered in the Netherlands Antiles. I wonder why. Any insights? Its R&D arm is based in Israel and its US headquarters are in Durham, not far from Raleigh.
