I have no problem believing what you saw since you were there. But what do these countires need to turn unused or underutilized farmland into productive farmland - energy, infastructure, water, chemicals (which consume energy). And what exactly arn't we willing to share? And what happens when the world population hits 8 or 10 Billion? And forget real food, what happens when 2 Billion new consumers in China/India discover junk food?

I dunno, maybe I am the naive one but it seems to me at the moment we are not even feeding the earth's population properly now let alone if start having energy constraints.

In your opinion, is either China or India moving quickly to create/modernize their farmland capacity?
