Marty Peretz of the New Republic wacked Kerry in the LA Times on his tepid support for Israel.
Naturally, John Kerry responds:
"He also slipped in an ode to Israel, including a phrase in adequately pronounced Hebrew, while in heavily Jewish West Palm Beach, and spoke a few sentences of accented French to Haitian immigrants here in Orlando.
In West Palm Beach, Mr. Kerry recalled climbing the Masada fortress where ancient Jews committed mass suicide rather than succumb to Roman invaders, and shouting, "Am Yisroel Chai,'' or "The nation of Israel lives.''
