Very simple, even for you. John Kerry voted against the bill for the military after the Democrats held up voting for it without their pork hung on it. This held up the money necessary for the troops, and as in any war there are supply problems.
Let me give you a little stat concerning the military. In the eighties, because so many highly trained men were leaving the services, Congress passed a law that military pay must be on an equal scale with the private sector. During Bush 1 the discrepancy had been reduced to a minus five percent. At the end of the 8 years of Clinton the discrepancy had soared to 13 percent. The VA budget during this period remained stagnant. During Clinton's tenure some of the most highly trained pilots in the world, our Naval aviators, were leaving the service in droves as Clinton's budget did not allow enough funds for jet fuel, and their flying and training hours were severely reduced. Jet jockeys do not take kindly to sitting on their ass doing paper work. Hundreds left to go into other ventures. Clinton's balanced budget was formed on the backs of the military services. Look it up.
You must also remember Kerry is a traitor. Very important.
