He's proud of his ethic background, only he's a Brit, not Scots Irish. So far I have not turned up any Scots Irish ancestors so I don't feel conflicted being proud that there is more British in my background than anything else. They gave the world the English language (the world's best language); the common law (the world's best legal system); and founded some of the world's best colonies, including the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, India, and although this is very much of a mixed bag, South Afria. Take another good look at this photo, and you will see that of the brightest places on earth, a very high percentage were founded or colonized by the Brits. antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov
