Joe and All I am back from Dallas to Report: These are the areas I will cover: Advertising Plans, Roll-out Speed; Recent Stock offerings; Shareholder Communications; Listing requirements; Synopsis of Curtis mathes to-date; Neal's personal Opinion; My personal Opinion and Observations. I will not cover all of these topics tonight, but wanted to hit the net with some important data, so here goes:
1. Advertising Plan: Big Topic of all our investors, so here is the Plan: CM plans to run television advertising on the four (4) Turner networks, CNN, Headline News,TBS,and TNT. They will start in September and run thru December. Currently CM has signed a deal with Turner to provide this coverage. CM prefers 30 sec spots, but depending on the time slot and audience, they may have to decrease to 15 sec spots. Of course they have limited capital, but they are agressively pursuing other avenues to increase their capital,hence more TV spots to increase the media coverage. Additionally ,they are looking at Print Media. Many ads have already been run, I saw the list, to include full page ads in Twice Magazine and This Week in Consumer Electronics. Additional print Media is being considered. Important thing here is the link of advertising to the Roll-out.
2. Roll-out Speed: Limited capital, errors, and the need to construct their own internet provider that could handle all the functions of the Uniview are some of the reasons for the slow roll-out (not Lawsuits). CM has been overly cautious to ensure all is right with the Uniview, TV, and Xpressway(learning from previous mistakes, starting to listen better to their investors). They presently have the Uniview for sale at two Communication Expo stores (I went buy and saw the display looks good), and at 5 Fry's with more on the way. According to marketing, BrandsMart should follow shortly, soon after Labor Day. Any day now CM should have sales via their web site. Production will be geared towards their retailers, with production not sent directly to them available for sale on the Web site. Crawl, walk, run.. speed should pick up (they are tired of crawling to, but the next annoucemnts need to be on the money. Announcement of additional National and Regional retailers in 30 days. Advertising (TV,Print),New Retailers, Direct sales( By the way Lenny your suggestion on infomercials and CM investor discounted buy options for the Uniview is under consideration.
