Compared with the overall energy budget of the U.S. which consists of 40% oil, and the rest other fossil fuels, nucular installations, hydro and a tiny droplet of alternative energy sources.

With our economy being based on cheap energy, and crude being 40% of that mix, it's kinda distressing that the price of the stuff has nearly doubled in two years, and shows no sign of becoming a bargain anytime soon.

I hear they got some terrorists protecting the oilfields in Iran. Guess we better go wipe 'em out, eh?
