I thought Diaz' comment gave a lot of insight into abortion politics. She apparently equates unplanned pregnancy with rape. After all, the fetus takes over the mother's body against her will, and eventually forces her to give birth. Makes her ugly, she gets stretch marks, she vomits, it hurts, and then there's the squalling brat. It's OK to have sex as much as you want, but being pregnant is punishment. Actually I think a lot of pro-lifers feel the same way. "Aha! You were bad, and now you're caught! And you must suffer!" Very sick mentality. The only up side to abortion is that these lunatics don't reproduce. I probably shouldn't say that.
