The UN was correct to insist that the charges against Saddam be investigated before there was an invasion.

The charge should have been that he is deemed unfit to rule by the UN, and therefore he should be forcibly removed. I think there was plenty of stuff indicating that he was a detrimental ruler, hurting his population, hurting his neighbors, destabilizing the region and not serving the public, which is a leader's role.

But this is my fantasyland UN, not the one that exists now!
