Elmo - Is CEO SCHMIDT correct in stating the above if we look at the 'pure' definition of merger (ie. acqusition) vs. sale?

Could Alphonse be right??:
"...My sources tell me that a takeover by the first of next week is much better than fifty-fifty..."

Here "takeover" means "merger" and "NOT sale"...(gr)
