I've never claimed Robertson is a religious nutcase. I simply happen to believe the man heard what he heard.

When judging a simple statement made by someone, I look at intent. Is Pat Robertson's intent to harm Bush? Most certainly not.

There is therefore no reason to believe that he was anything but truthful.

The fact that the statement portrays Bush in a way that fits into my own personal thesis on the man is beside the point.

He either said it, or didn't. At this point, evidence says Bush said it. After all, the case is about as solid as the circumstantial case used to go into Iraq. Should Bush be locked up? Committed? Tested for dementia? Circumstantial evidence says yes, and since Neocon believes circumstantial evidence is good enough to go into Iraq and kill between 5 and 15 thousand civilians, why not lock up Bush until we can determine he is no threat to the world?

Seems perfectly reasonable to me. You know, the "Watkins Doctorine" of pre-emptive psychiatric medicine!

LOL
