I mentioned this to jla once and I'll paraphrase here.

jla is the most morally repugnant human being that I've even met in my entire life. Saddam Hussein has higher moral standards than jla. Saddam will slaughter thousands of people for his own survival, there's a tiny, tiny, tiny self-defense aspect to his actions. jla....he's quite conformtable in having thousands of people slaughtered for no reason at all.
