The reason you don't like it is because you do want Bush to run against perfection... That's not the case. You're looking at it through the prism of an election fight. I'm not. I'm a wonk, not a hack. Very different way of looking at things. I hear Kerry speak, I read Kerry's words, but I see only Neville Chamberlain. I can understand that. Just as I understand that quote posted earlier from a woman who reads the words of pro-lifers and sees the legalization or rape. Or the poster reading my words and seeing someone who wants "flag-waving" young people to take fire in her stead. Or the poster who reads the proposed amendment on gay marriage and sees theocracy. Cultural isolation and the exaggerated fear of "the other" foster demonization.
