will ExxonMobil continue to give double digit returns over the next 10 years?

JMO - Over the very long haul, probably yes. The l-t return from price appreciation and dividend yield over the past 3 decades has been in the double digits (about 15.5% from 1/1/70 to today). It's a well-managed company in an industry that's not going away.

Though this is probably not the best time to make a big new l-t investment. It only recently exceeded the previous bull market peak price of $47.72 from 10/11/00. I've been holding a boatload for a little over 2 yrs and sold most of it near 50 (merely cause I figured that was a nice round price target and it would run into resistance there). I might buy back in if it looks like the $47 range will be a good support area - hoping for a move up into the 50's. But if I do, I'll be watching it closely and will have an itchy trigger finger.
