Upon what authority do you base that judgment? Those that know Bush seem to respect his intelligence greatly. You believe too much of the liberal press reports. The liberal press portrayed Reagan as being stupid. Imagine how Russians must feel to be defeated by an idiot. Liberals attempt to portray those they wish defeated as lacking intelligence. You’re too smart to be fooled by that parlor trick. Check old NYT about Packwood. He was maverick, independent minded, sly, clever, acute, etc. Then when Clinton got elected* NYT treated him the same way they denigrate most Republicans. You can substitute your favorite liberal media for NYT without losing much accuracy. * Senator Packwood exhibited the same kind of behavior towards women that Bill Clinton did. He used his position to attempt to force women to have sex with him. Packwood was a Pro-Life Republican. He became expendable to Liberals after Clinton could veto any abortion preventing legislation.
