Have your theoretical musings for pages and pages on end been "practical"? Err, perhaps not much, for those of us with attention deficit disorders :-)

Re bottom and "great depression" and all that lovely stuff - I am not as pessimistic as you guys. My numbers say the worst is behind us, unless the powers in charge do something really stupid, like burst the credit bubble. But they have been doing good so far, albeit with flat out lies that have somehow kept the long term interest rates at such low levels.

Is Heinz still expecting deflation? I hope he hasn't been holding his breath -g-
