I applaud strong women.
I like to think I'm one myself.

Being strong doesn't necessarily equate to being smart
or politically savvy, however.

Both Hillary and Teresa fall into the elitist
feminist category; i.e., limiting meaningful female
choices to what they consider meaningful career options.

That's why they both derided women who did not fit their
articulated profile.

I've been a professional woman for 24 years.
I don't feel the need to deride women who chose
motherhood, or the mommy track vs. high profile
track at work in order to accommodate other life
choices.

People like Hillary and Teresa are actually more anti-woman
that any man could be.

I am entirely pro-choice: I think women should be encouraged
to do anything and everything they desire for a full
and meaningful life, even if that doesn't include a
high powered career.

Sending the message that less than a full career
option is a big nothing does nothing to enhance freedom
of choice, which is ironically what such people claim
to be all about.

As for Teresa making mistakes. Oh yeah, she's made more
than a few. Her "apology" was nicely crafted for her.
(I daresay she's not used to apologizing for anything.)

Why do you guys think apologies are so meaningful anyway?
Teresa actually said what she MEANT. It spoke volumes
about HER. That she happened to be wrong about Laura's
background doesn't change the fact that her beliefs
are that being a school teacher is a nothing job.
