I'm in Kaduna 2 and half hours north from Abuja International Airport.

We've had a 4-day toyal strike last week and it was all calm. Besides, Nigerians can't afford a long strike. A big informal economy that can't stop.

If violence erupts, government will put a dawn to dusk curfew. Police and army are always everywhere in the the major cities.

If personal security is in danger, we'll get a army escort and drive down to Abuja. Very unlikely Interntional Airport would be closed.

Some guys drive around with escort but I don't. I found that too visible and flashy. And they drive in front too fast and carelessly. Could hit people on the road and that would mean they will burn the cars most liekely with everybody inside.

Better to be gumble and low profile.
