I think you missed my point about elitism and choice.

My criticism of Hillary and Teresa has nothing to do with
their socio-economic status, it has to do with their ideas.

Their ideas, as expressed, seem to be that women only contribute meaningfully if they do so in non-traditional roles.

When I say I am pro-choice, I'm not referring to the abortion issue, but to the issue of true choice for women to make life choices, even if those choices do not comport with the POV
of the Hillary/Teresa types.

IOW, Hillary's early reference to not being a cookie baker
and Teresa's reference to schoolteachers belittle those
who occupy such roles. Now they can apologize all over the place for having allowed their real feelings to slip out, but
the truth is that such elitism fosters a lack of choice for
women rather than the full panoply of options.

And that's what I don't think is right.

Insofar as their husband's campaigns sought to tone down
these "strong women", well, that's unfortunate. I think
they should be exactly what they are and let the chips fall.

The fact that Teresa has been somewhat muzzled should make you wonder exactly what the Kerry camp is afraid of..............
