Now WAIT. Kerry never "accused" vets of anytying. He was passing on the first-hand stories the vets wanted him to tell about their worst true experiences. He didn't "call" anyone anything or "accuse" anyone, he was simply the spokesmen for some 100 vets who'd been in very extreme combat situations like he was, and who did some goddamn awful shit as part of the free fire zone rules of engagement (shoot anything that moves) and the CIA's Phoenix program with the far right wants to pretend didn't exist. Bob Kerry was also an assassin for Phoenix as a SEAL. The rightwing blames Bob for that but then denies it ever happened. They can't have it both ways. Phnoenix was reponsible for more than 1000 up close and personal killings. Including all kinds of dismemberment for terrorist purposes. yes we try to terrify the enemy too. Sometimes it works. the problem with Vietnam was, the wholew war didn't make any sense to begin with and it was totally out of control. Kerry did the right thing telling the truth and working to end it sooner. That brought POW's and vets back home early.
