Yahoo has a company called Overture they work with MSN..Altavista and others. When you put something on Overture it gets 85 percent of the web searches. You can bid on the spot you want to have your ad placed. For example.. The top spot may be a 1.00 per click Next might be 55 cents Third could be 40 cents. If you wanted to be first you bid 1.01 and you automatically go to first place until someone out bids you. Google ads dont let you know what the competition is bidding. You just bid for example .60 and if you dont like your placement you bid more without knowing what the top spot is paying,..
