No, we can't. You're wrong again, bozo. Federal deficits as a percentage of GDP are lower today than they were in the mid-'70s, most of the '80s, first half of the '90s, and all but two years of the period 1932-1946. Ask the OMB.

And as for the debt, as a percent of GDP it is lower today than it was as late as 1993-1997. Only a year or two later, pols and economists were debating whether it was a good idea to pay off the debt entirely. It was also higher from 1943-1955.

Sheesh! Do you ever check your facts?
